Moms Tri: Team Runaway Moms

Navy & Teal Tri Suit: MooMotion Sports c/o | Post Race Shorts & Pants: Albion Fit The past few months it has been hard to hide from the overrunning stream of media and news showing women's marches and protests, all sorts of ads and commercials talking about women their rights, their bodies etc etc. Please don't get me wrong, I am incredibly proud to be a woman. I love everything that comes with it. Well maybe not everything (.) A while back, I posted on Instagram how I was struggling to find where I fit in to support women because until that point the world's way just wasn't feeling my groove, if ya know what I mean. Last year I participated in the Moms Tri and although my times were pretty slow for me, since I was 5 months post … [Read more...]

Toddler Test Kitchen

Toddler Test Kitchen

A few weeks ago, Ry and I were able to attend the Toddler Test Kitchen at the Halle Heart Children's Museum. To be honest, I really didn't know much about the program but I am always looking for new activities to do especially around the valley and decided why not?! Dates aren't just for grown-ups! I have always wanted to make it a habit to go on little dates with my kids and this was a perfect day date to hang out and learn with Ryker! Class is based around a hands on cooking class designed for your toddler to safely learn their way around the kitchen and learn about healthy, flavorful foods.  Yaffi, of Baby Bloom Nutrition, guided everyone through each step and also explained added benefits of letting the littles do as much of the work … [Read more...]

Vintage Bridals + Thoughts on Marriage

Venue: Schnepf Farms Styling & Photography: Anna Phillips Photography Makeup & Hair: Oh! Makeup Florals: The Wildflower AZ Furniture Rentals: Tremaine Ranch Dress: Merchant Square Model: Katie Smith (me) A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting with Anna Phillips Photography. I met her at a surprise birthday dinner for our girl Nicole of The Wildflower AZ and one of the first things she asked me was my dress size. I was kind of surprised and kind of laughed since we had just met but she went into the details about a styled shoot she was dreaming up. Then she showed me a picture of the GORGEOUS antique wedding dress... and jaw dropped; it was stunning! I was so lucky to work with this team and loved playing dress up for … [Read more...]

People not Pounds

People not Pounds

PC: Kourtney Marie Photography Ringing in 2017, I really want to focus on fitness & health but also personal growth, relationships & mental wellness.  This year, I wan to post more workouts, healthy recipes and fun adventures;  something you can do with others or for others. Make you better by making others better. Posts that will hopefully: -get you motivated (motivated to dance *of course* talk, take care of relationships, see the world or see your own backyard) -recharge your battery (yours & your phones! snap one picture & put your phone away bc you are already with those that matter) -challenge you (I say it in every barre class I teach "if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you") A top resolution is … [Read more...]

Christmas with a Cactus

Christmas with a Cactus

Photography: Kourtney Marie Photography I have always been so afraid to take family pictures in the desert. I don't really know why, but I guess I thought the landscaping would make everything look dry & dull. When Kourtney asked where I wanted our family pictures, I initially was dreaming up a green background or hoping to steal her beautiful idea in a cotton field. But a little while back I wrote a post talking about embracing Arizona & loving where I am so I decided to embrace it & go all out; 'Christmas with a Cactus' is what I told Cam! I love this season so much. I haven't made ever party this year & honestly I never even put up our tree but I love focusing on family & the Christmas Spirit, the spirit of Christ … [Read more...]

5 Tips to Getting “Due Date” Ready

5 Tips to Getting “Due Date” Ready

Lucky Charms Protein Pancakes

Lucky Charms Protein Pancakes

  • The past two days have emotional drained me. This angel boy must be able to sense my sadness + got in bed to cuddle with me when Dad left for work this morning; we both slept in till 10am. I’m constantly in awe with how in tune children are to the emotions of people around them... a hug for a sad friend. Random kisses for Dad after a long day. Snuggles to cheer up mom. Children are truly gifts from God #tendermercies #ktselftimer
  • Can I be honest? I reallyyy didn’t want to go to church today 🤦🏼‍♀️I woke up exhausted + achy. Ryker wouldn’t take a nap which meant church wasn’t even going to be “worth” it. But we went anyways. Why? Not because it is expected of us or we feel pressured to go but because when you are too tired to pray - that my friends is when I have found I need to pray the most. And you know what... Ryker was actually pretty great + we were able to see our sweet friend’s baby get blessed + I was able to chat with another friend I haven’t been able to in a long time. I felt the spirit + left filled to the tippy top with God’s love. #worthit #smithfamilysunday #35weekspregnant #gowingbabysmith
  • #ad We had the best day celebrating our nephew’s 1st birthday but with all the partying, I totally forgot to plan dinner 🤷🏼‍♀️ #pregnancybrain Lucky for the boys, I sometimes have my winning moments + we ran by Fry’s to grab some grub ☺️ @alexiafoods vegetable sides saves the day + comes ready to cook out of a bag in less than 10 minutes!
