I am so excited to introduce our newest family member to y’all… Miss Lulu 🙂

While Cam was at school he had a patient that he was working with that breeds Golden Retrievers, long story short she was done breeding Lulu and was trying to find a family to place her in and we just got lucky enough that she choose us! Lulu is 6 years old and as sweet as can be! Her and Duke love to play and cuddle and we found out she is a fabulous swimmer! We went up north for some fresh cool air and to leave behind all our problems for a day. I love my sweet little family!

xoxo

  • After five and a half years fighting a remarkable battle with stage 4 breast cancer, my sweet mother comfortably passed away earlier today. Even as a nurse, I have never seen an individual demonstrate such an extraordinary determination to survive. For that, she will always be a wonderful example of strength to me and those around her. I’m grateful for the opportunity to see and talk with Mom when I did. I know she is at peace and incredibly happy to reunite with her family in Heaven. I feel strongly she is now able to meet our sweet baby boy, teach and love him before he enters this world in just a few short weeks. I’m struggling with not being able to fly out and lay her to rest but I’m overwhelmed with the compassion, support and aid of those closest to me helping in my absence. I know I will see my Mom again but until that time comes, she will be taking care of us from Heaven.
I will share funeral arrangement information once confirmed #miracles4mitzi #familiesareforever
  • The past two days have emotional drained me. This angel boy must be able to sense my sadness + got in bed to cuddle with me when Dad left for work this morning; we both slept in till 10am. I’m constantly in awe with how in tune children are to the emotions of people around them... a hug for a sad friend. Random kisses for Dad after a long day. Snuggles to cheer up mom. Children are truly gifts from God #tendermercies #ktselftimer
  • Can I be honest? I reallyyy didn’t want to go to church today 🤦🏼‍♀️I woke up exhausted + achy. Ryker wouldn’t take a nap which meant church wasn’t even going to be “worth” it. But we went anyways. Why? Not because it is expected of us or we feel pressured to go but because when you are too tired to pray - that my friends is when I have found I need to pray the most. And you know what... Ryker was actually pretty great + we were able to see our sweet friend’s baby get blessed + I was able to chat with another friend I haven’t been able to in a long time. I felt the spirit + left filled to the tippy top with God’s love. #worthit #smithfamilysunday #35weekspregnant #gowingbabysmith
