Workout Wednesday: My Monthly Mantra

Workout Wednesday: My Monthly Mantra

Photography: J Petite Photography Top: Onzie c/o | Leggings: Onzie c/o Welcoming August with open arms and taking a big deep breath. I've recently picked back up practicing yoga in the mornings before I get the babe up. It feels so nice to stretch and focus. I am kind of particular about my choice of yoga pants but these Onzie leggings have been on repeat the past few weeks because they are unbelievably comfy and supportive.  Clearing my mind and starting the day with a good intention and positive vibe has made a world of difference for me the past few days. So much has been on my mind lately and I have noticed that I have been waking up exhausted - burning the candle at both ends. (p.s. our a/c died in the middle of summer but y'all, … [Read more...]

Workout Wednesday: Pre-Workout + Protein

This post is sponsored by IdealFit but the content & opinions expressed are my own. Do you ever wish you had a Fairy Godmother that could wave her wand and magically provide you with endless energy to workout? Last week I got hit hard with a cold/flu bug and had zero desire to move off my couch never mind drag my booty to workout. But this week I knew I had to get back on track and into my routine. I thrive off a good routine and staying organized but I dreaded my first workout back. I am going to be one hundred with y’all and admit that I have never tried a pre-workout supplement before. I honestly have no idea why because tonight I tried out IdealLean Stim Free Pre-Workout and I am a believer! *Insert Fairy Godmother Here* Not … [Read more...]

Summer Series #3 – July 4th Race

Summer Series #3 – July 4th Race

Honestly, not my best time for a few reasons but hey I got up before the sun and sweated it out in the 100 degree Arizona summer!  I love running and the mental push that it gives you but here is a little pro tip... know how long the race is before you start.:/ Usually, I sign up for 5k runs throughout the year and so when I saw this Arizona Road Racers Summer Series on my calendar I made the assumption that it was another 5k. Well when I race past the 3 mile mark and saw the water station my mind started thinking. "why in the world would they have a water station just 0.1 miles from the finish?" That's when it clicked that I had another mile to go. I can confidently say I was glad that it wasn't a 10k because I was beat but I had a blast. … [Read more...]

Workout Wednesday: Mommy + Me Routine

Raise your hand if you make it to the gym everyday? Okay, good me neither. Life gets crazy and hectic. We've got meals to plan, houses to keep in running order, jobs, LIFE! I like working out because it's an hour that is just for me. My mind doesn't have time to ruminate over a to-do list or worry that I forgot to text someone back. Although I usually schedule out 2-3 intense workouts a week I have also found that working out with Ryker is crazy effective too! So here are 5 simple and common moves to try with your kids! *Disclaimer Ryker is 25lbs so depending on the size of your baby, the difficulty in your workout will definitely fluctuate! Weighted Lunges Bring your foot parallel; making sure that your front knee stays … [Read more...]

  • The past two days have emotional drained me. This angel boy must be able to sense my sadness + got in bed to cuddle with me when Dad left for work this morning; we both slept in till 10am. I’m constantly in awe with how in tune children are to the emotions of people around them... a hug for a sad friend. Random kisses for Dad after a long day. Snuggles to cheer up mom. Children are truly gifts from God #tendermercies #ktselftimer
  • Can I be honest? I reallyyy didn’t want to go to church today 🤦🏼‍♀️I woke up exhausted + achy. Ryker wouldn’t take a nap which meant church wasn’t even going to be “worth” it. But we went anyways. Why? Not because it is expected of us or we feel pressured to go but because when you are too tired to pray - that my friends is when I have found I need to pray the most. And you know what... Ryker was actually pretty great + we were able to see our sweet friend’s baby get blessed + I was able to chat with another friend I haven’t been able to in a long time. I felt the spirit + left filled to the tippy top with God’s love. #worthit #smithfamilysunday #35weekspregnant #gowingbabysmith
